Jay was born and raised in Charleston. He graduated from Fort Johnson High School in 1983 and Winthrop College in 1987
with a Bachelor of Science Degree. His coursework emphasized marketing, advertising, and broadcasting.
A licensed real estate professional since 1989, Jay brings his clients in-depth knowledge of the local Charleston market. Backed by the prestige of Carolina One Real Estate Company, he is able to provide his clients with an aggressive marketing program using the most advanced technology. He has received many accolades for his achievements throughout the years for which he is very grateful.

Jay actively participates in the community through James Island Optimist Club (Vice President 2000 and President 2001), Exchange Club of Charleston and The Coastal Carolina Fair. He is a Member of John Wesley United Methodist Church, has coached James Island youth soccer and baseball teams and has Co-Coached the Mason Prep School Jr. Boys Basketball Team.
Jay has been married to Mandy since 1989 and has two sons and a daughter.
